Are the CRM projects always unsuccessful as everyone would say in any particular environment? Why do they think like that? It is a no-doubt reality that CRM projects are really tough ones because of having a great deal of components.

First of all, you have to think very carefully about all the stakeholders in the first place and make them involved in the project at every considerable step. If any stakeholder doesn’t believe in the project, you can’t take any contribution from his side and it is an obvious risk that would jeopardize the whole project. More involvement, more contribution.

Secondly, in the CRM area, it is crucial to choose the right technological partners. You should work with the partners that comply with your requirements. It is very common to have a need for change with any partner in the middle of the way which is another big risk for the time plan of the project. While you are looking for a new partner, all the integration tasks pile up everyday.

Thirdly, after integrations at the executive stage, you should have a good team. Execution must be done by its experts who are data analysts, campaign and communication executives, customer journey designers. If you pick your team among the best, your project undoubtedly takes off.

The last but not the least topic is reporting. Measuring is the fundamental part of CRM. That said “you can’t manage something that you don’t measure “ has never been as true as it is said for CRM. Regular reports of what you are measuring provide you always with staying on top of the project and ensure the project to go smoothly.

To sum up, CRM projects bridge the gap between the companies and their customers. It is why they are really essential projects but before all, very difficult projects with a very close bond of technology. To have a successful CRM project, you should have a well-planned, detailed, smart project plan with the involved stakeholders, best technological partners, talented team and an excellent reporting system.
